Food: Heaven in a Cupcake

Best Blogger Tips

Having diabetes run in both my mom and dad's side doesn't stop me from having a sweet tooth. Everybody has their addictions, while some are addicted to cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, etc... i'm addicted to anything sweet - cupcakes being one of them. When it's that "time" of the month, i get all hormonal and dessert crazy and just start craving for anything sweet. Well it is that time of the month and this time i wanted to try something i've been hearing a lot of good words from... cupcakes from Phoebe's Cupcakery

As i was "supposedly" on a diet, i decided try get only a box of 6, instead of a whole dozen cupcakes. This i learned later on, was a big mistake.

Phoebe's so sweet, she left a note for me!

Phoebe's cupcakes are available in 4 flavors: Scarlet, Nuts for Nana, Mocha Loca and Cookie Monster. I got mine in Scarlet as this was her best seller.

Red Velvet cupcakes! Yum!

These red velvets are divine! They're moist, the cake is so flavorful and the cream cheese frosting was just right - not so sweet. This is definitely the best red velvet I have tried to date. I have once tasted the red velvets of the most popular and talked about Cupcakes by Sonja in Manila which was a total disappointment! Her red velvets were just so dry and the frosting did not taste like cream cheese at all and was just so sweet (and this is coming from me  who is such a sucker for sweets).

I wolfed down 3 of the cupcakes in one sitting. Yep, 3 in just one sitting. that's how good they were! I had to exert a lot of willpower to stop myself from finishing all 6 as I wanted to have some left for a late night snack and for the husband.

I can't wait to try out all her other flavors. A box of six costs P280, and a dozen costs P480. All cupcakes are made to order so make sure to order at least 2 days in advance. Visit her facebook page here to know more about Phoebe and her cupcakes.
